I am an insect, crawling
On my belly, through the muck
Broken leg and broken wings carrying me
Through this world
That’s much
Much
Too big
I try to climb the branches
Of a beautiful tree
Its leaves shaking in the wind
Howling and furious
And I fall
Fall gracelessly
Into the dirt
Where I belong
